Steve Sexton- Hapkido Ultimate Self DefenseH apkido is not what I train in.
So rather then fluff or BS about how this is good/bad etc I will just say that I found it to be interesting to view.
I might as well share it with others here.
As a boxer I was scratching my head at two of the defenses he showed against punches.
I know how I move and how I hit and his way seemed odd.
I am not saying its wrong or is invalid- again that is not my style- but just odd to me why he’d show what he did.
His take downs (throws and off of grabs) are solid as a brick wall- that is no doubt impressive to see.
I dug it! Also to his credit he says if faced with a knife and you can get away- do so! Do not face a weapon if you do not have to.
That is honest advice where in so many wackos just want to show u 44 ‘unstoppable techniques’ to disarm the knife holder that will just get u cut up.
He does show weapon defense techniques too BTW.
IDK what to say when he fucks ppl up with a cane.
