Wudang Chun Yang(Pure Yang)Wudang Chunyang (Pure Yang) Boxing is a rare internal martial art originally taught by Taoist monk Longxin in Wudang Yuxu Temple in 19th century.
It later left Taoist temples and spread to the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province where it is still taught.
The style combines Taoist health preserving methods with self-defense techniques.
Its movements are performed in relaxed, smooth manner similar to Taijiquan, but faster and with agile footwork.
Wang Zhaohui is a disciple of famous Wudang master Liu Lihang (who passed last year at the age of 101) and 23rd generation inheritor of Wudang Chunyang Boxing:Bu Lao Song Yang Sheng Gong(Ageless Pinetree Health Preserving)This is a series of preservational exercises where arm motions are combined with postural changes and breathing teaching to preserve one’s vigor.
Movements are soft and almost casual.
This series is similar in range to the LuoHan exercises of Shaolin but less rigorous in attitude and execution.
